Privacy policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Sessnly is a desktop trading journal. This page explains what data we collect, why, where it is stored and how you can delete it. In short: we only keep what is needed to run your account and sync your journal. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data.
Who is responsible
Sessnly is developed and operated by an independent developer based in France, who is the data controller. Contact: pierre@sessnly.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and a password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and profile picture from Google.
- Journal data: the content you create in the app (trades, notes, strategies, checklists, images). It is stored on your computer and, when you are signed in, synced to our cloud storage so it is available on your other computers.
- Technical data: when the app checks for updates or syncs, our servers receive standard connection information (such as your IP address) for security and to deliver the service.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the app or on this website.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account, and send you sign-in or confirmation codes by email.
- To sync and back up your journal between your devices.
- To deliver app updates.
The legal basis is the performance of the service you asked for (your account and sync).
Where it is stored
Your account and journal data are hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Ireland). Each user can only access their own data. Account emails are sent through Resend (EU region). Updates and this website are served by Cloudflare. Google is involved only if you choose to sign in with Google. These providers process data on our behalf and only for these purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your data as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from the app (Parameters › Account › Delete account), your account and your cloud journal files are deleted. The copy stored on your own computer stays under your control.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its processing. Most of this can be done directly in the app; for anything else, write to pierre@sessnly.com. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
